Kumarghat

Kamarghat is 140 km from the capital Agartala. Kumarghat is also known as land of pineapple. Kumarghat is located in the North East Indian State Tripura. It is the highest producer of fruit in the entire Tripura. It is known to produce pineapples in large quality. Kamarghat supplies fruits to states like Assam, Manipur and other neighbouring states. The primary occupation of the most of peoples residing at Kamarghat is pineapple cultivation. Neermahal : Tripura’s lovely lake palace on Lake Rudrasagar, Neermahal, is Eastern India’s only water palace. The palace was the dream castle of Raja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, who quite obviously had keen aesthetic sensibilities.

Kamalasagar : Maharaja Kalyan Manikya initiated the excavations of Lake Kamalasagar, 27 km from Agartala. There’s a popular 16th century Kali Temple on the edge of the lake.

Venuban Vihar : Magadha King Bimbisar had built Venuban Vihar or monastery at his pleasure-garden for Buddha to live in. This was the first gift of the king as obeisance to his preceptor. Buddha, too, had lived at Venuban for some monsoons. Excavation revealed the past. Today it is a Deer Park and a Zoo.
Ujjavanta Palace : Ujjavanta Palace is famous for its Chinese room, carved doors and water pools. It was built in Indo-Saracenic style of architecture by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya Bahadur between 1899-1901.
