About Delhi

"Delhi is the symbol of old India and new...even the stones here whisper to our ears of the ages of long ago and the air we breathe is full of the dust and fragrances of the past, as also of the fresh and piercing winds of the present."
Jawaharlal Nehru

As Delhi is the capital of world's largest democracy, it is full of jam-packed streets, tower blocks and temples, forts, mosques and colonial mansions. Delhi is the only city which shows a combined culture of every religion and custom. Delhi is divided in two parts known as Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi is basically that area which is the oldest part of the city and New Delhi is that part which is constructed in British era. Old Delhi has narrow streets and very crowded place. This is the place where one can see the fragrance of old people and culture. New Delhi is the place which is orderly planned with wide roads, colonial buildings, high buildings and offices with several hotels and markets.
